About me:
Zhi-Yun Zhang is a German graphic designer and illustrator based in Hamburg.
He was born and raised in Lübeck as the son of Chinese immigrants. His work draws inspiration from pop culture, media, and everyday social events. As a child, he was captivated by the many cartoons and anime on TV, which led him to start sketching his childhood heroes and creating his own characters.

After finishing school, he pursued a degree in IT & Design at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, he began working on freelance graphic design and illustration projects and completed an internship at the Peter Schmidt Group.

Zhi-Yun also gained experience as a UI/UX designer with the software developer mynt GmbH, where he was responsible for the design and user experience of the "Clever Waschen" app (Axel Springer Verlag). Additionally, for over eight years, he has been the designer in residence for the Munich-based party series Mixwoch.
